Ethics

Blogio is committed to the highest ethical standards in all of our practices

Our relationship with Bloggers is completely open and transparent. Similarly, the relationship between marketers and Bloggers is completely open and transparent.

Bloggers that work with Blogio and participate in the revenue share have disclosed this relationship on their website.  This is to let their readers know that they receive information from Blogio and that marketers who use Blogio pay for access to the Blogger.  Additionally, Bloggers make it clear that they are under no obligation whatsoever to either the marketer or to Blogio.

We fully endorse the WOMMA ethics code about honesty of relationship, opinion and identity.

After reviewing many of the positive and less than positive Blogger outreach programs, Blogio has determined that we will strive to adhere to the following code of ethics:

Blogio Rules of Contact

Blogio respects the unique voice of each Blogger.  We reach out to you because we have content that relates specifically to what you blog about.  Below provides our rules for contacting you:

DISCLOSURE

Marketers use Blogio to transmit news to industry-specific Bloggers. As journalists, Bloggers need this information to stay informed. And just like traditional journalists, Bloggers have no obligation to write about anything that they feel is not newsworthy.

Marketers pay Blogio a fee to send out information to the bloggers in specific niches.

Bloggers who receive information from Blogio can qualify for the revenue share program. The revenue share is paid to blogs that have achieved the most success in their niche. This is not “pay to post” since marketers and bloggers alike are well aware that bloggers have no obligation or expectation to post.

To maintain the highest ethical standards, Blogio requires that participating blogs (who participate in the revenue share) include a disclosure somewhere on their site. This disclosure will make it clear to the blog’s readers that the integrity of the blog is in no way compromised, since the Blogger has no obligation to the marketer.

There is no required text, but the disclosure link proves a suggestion.
