To maintain a high ethical standard throughout the Blogio network, we require that participating blogs include a disclosure somewhere on their site. There is no required text, but below proves a suggestion:
XYZ.com receives industry information from many sources. One organization we receive information from is Blogio.
Blogio (www.Blogio.com) is a pipeline of information from companies with products or services related to the XX industry. The information/news release they send varies widely from new product launches to story ideas to financial reporting.
The marketers that utilize Blogio pay a fee to use the Blogio network. A portion of that fee is shared with the independent blogs that receive the news release. However, blogs are under no obligation to write / post / comment on any company or individual who uses the Blogio network. This is made clear to all marketers who use Blogio.
The purpose of the revenue share is to help enable the Blogger financially. The marketer is simply paying for “access” to a blog. In a similar way. lobbyist pay for “access” to lawmakers while lawmakers have no obligation to the lobbyist.
The intended purpose of the revenue is to help support XYZ.com and the blogging movement in general. It provides blogs with a revenue source that does not depend on advertising and respects Bloggers’ independence.
Revenue is directed to XYZ.com incorporated, not to a specific individual. The money is intended to offset our expenses, enabling us to fulfill our mission of providing quality, uncensored content.
